‘We are the team of the future’ – Umbc

Umbc Physical Education Specialist Stefano Cacciolini has spoken of the “biggest revolution” in the football world since his arrival at the club in 2000.

The former Italy international, who played for Italy at the World Cup and also managed the Under-21s in Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign, has been appointed as the club’s new technical director following the appointment of Giovanni Trapattoni as interim coach.

Cacciolini will take over from Paul D’Hooghe, who was sacked by the club on Tuesday following a 3-1 home defeat by Liverpool.

He said: “It is a very exciting moment for us, but it is not the last.

“It’s a new day, it’s a big moment, but we have only just started.””

We will fight to win trophies and this is what we do.””
