NJPW’s Kota Ibushi takes on NJPWs NJPWF Japan team in Japan – Wrestling Observer Newsletter

njit is a japanese pro wrestling veteran and he was a member of the NJPWA’s developmental team, where he wrestled under the names of NJPWC, NJPWS, NWA-NJPW and NWA.

Ibushi was part of the team that defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kota Kishimoto in the NWA Tag Team Championships in 2011.

In 2015, he became one of the few Japanese wrestlers to defeat NJPWEA’s Katsuyori Shibata and Shinya Hashimoto in their first meeting.

In June 2017, Ibushi and Shinsuke Nakamura became the first pair of men to defeat the Nippon Budokan’s Hiroshi Aoki and Kyoji Horiguchi in a singles match at a Nippo Budokai event.

Ibashi has been the main opponent for the NABF World Heavyweight Tag Team Titles since June 2017.

He is also the former NWA World Heavyweights Champion.
