Gianluca Di Marzio reveals he had to cancel his planned match against Udinese in a training session
By Giuseppe Mancini / Football Italiano Milan-based coach Gianluc Di Marzo revealed on Friday that he had been forced to cancel a match against the Italian champions Udinese due to a medical condition.
The Giallorossi boss was due to travel to the city of Turin to take part in a pre-season friendly on Friday.
But, with his schedule already packed with training and pre-match sessions, he decided to pull out of the match due to “a serious illness”, according to his official website.
Di Marzito has not played for the Giallores since 2014, when he left the club in disgrace after he was accused of sexual assault.
He had been the head coach of Roma from 2012 to 2015 and is currently the assistant coach for Lazio.
